Purnacandra Goswami, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, passed away in Moscow on November 4, 2010. He joined ISKCON in New York City in 1976 and then traveled throughout America with the Radha-Damodara Traveling Sankirtana Party. In 1981 he assisted ISKCON’s mission in Hong Kong, and in 1984, the Philippines. He then went to India and preached at universities in Gujarat.

In England, from 1987 to 1997 he held classes and tutorials on the Bhagavad-gita and weekly Bhakti-sastri seminars at Bhaktivedanta Manor and the London temple. He also taught these in Ireland, the Philippines, France, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Slovenia, and Russia. He began initiating disciples in 1993.

In 1997 he moved to Russia and taught there, in India, and in Eastern Europe until his passing. He was the initiator and chairman of the Sastric Advisory Council of ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission. He narrated an audio production called Gitamrta and wrote a book entitled Unspoken Obstacles on the Path of Devotion.
