Patna, Bihar: The construction of ISKCON’s Sri Sri Radha-Bankebihari temple and spiritual centre, spread over two acres of land, is expected to be completed by 2014. The estimated project cost is Rs. 51 crore.
 
Ratha-yatra Celebrations
 
Baroda, Gujarat: ISKCON Baroda organized the thirty-first Ratha-yatra celebrations here. 
 
Scandinavian Countries: This year marks the seventh Scandinavian Ratha Yatra tour in a row, undertaken for Lord Jagannatha’s pleasure and the tours are still going strong. It was from July 6-14, 2012. 
 
Record Book Distribution in Pandharpur
 
Pandharpur, Maharashtra: The ISKCON temple here reported the largest distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books in its history. With the help of only a few devotees, Bhaktin Radhika Mehta handed out 17,856 copies of Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad-gita As It Is in Marathi to pilgrims during the famous Vitthala temple’s ashadhi Ekadashi celebrations this June. Radhika has distributed around a quarter of a million books since entering the service in 2007, and has routinely hit the World Sankirtan Newsletter’s top spot, breaking all women’s book distribution records and many overall records too.
 
ISKCON Russia Helps Flood Victims
 
Krymsk, Russia: Hare Krishna devotees distributed hot food and gave out collected clothes to the aggrieved people in Krymsk and other towns in the zone of a strong flood which has fallen upon the region during the night of July 6-7. “About 10 devotee volunteers are busy helping, and all those who desire to help join them,” said ISKCON member, Aditi Duhkhaha Dasa.
 
Krishna Consciousness in Ghana
 
Ghana, Africa: Krishna consciousness was first brought to the West African country in 1980 by Srila Prabhupada’s disciple Brahmananda Dasa, and was cemented in 1982 by Bhakti Tirtha Swami, a charismatic spiritual leader. Today, Krishna consciousness is taught in Ghana by the dedicated native devotees, including many second and even third generation members. 
 
First Krishna Consciousness Hostel in UK
 
Harrow, UK: The UK’s first Krishna conscious Youth Hostel will be launched in September 2012 in Harrow. It will be open for unmarried men or young professionals who are looking for an affordable room with freshly cooked vegetarian meals, and interested in living with spiritually-minded people. 
 
ISKCON Joins Call for Yamuna Cleanup
 
Washington, DC: ISKCON members joined the leaders of many other environmental non-government organizations (NGOs) in connection with the Sri Krishna Janmashtami holiday, expressing their grave concern about deadly levels of pollution now affecting India’s Yamuna River. 
 
ISKCON in International Book Fair
 
Hong Kong: For the fifth consecutive year, ISKCON Hong Kong participated in the International Book Fair. Over 900,000 visits were recorded last year, and this year the organizer is expecting another record. Visitors to our booth are attracted by Srila Prabhupada’s books.

Prague, Czech Republic: For the first time ever, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, producer of all ISKCON Founder Srila Prabhupada’s books, has published the entire Sri Caitanya caritamrta in Czech.

ISKCON Silicon Valley Acquires New Temple
 
Silicon Valley, California: ISKCON Silicon Valley (ISV) has acquired a new temple, property worth $1.2 million. The 4,900-square-foot building sits in a quiet residential area at the heart of Silicon Valley, close to Stanford University and major companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple.
